Mr John Elwell's Obituary
John Elwell, 69, of Pittsburgh PA, passed away on January 24, 2026.
John is survived by his two children John Elwell Jr. and Amber Elwell; two sisters Michele "Missy" Landy (the late Dennis) and Annette Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Rose Elwell; and former spouse Lynn Elwell.
John worked for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority for over thirty years as a maintenance supervisor. His willingness to help others was seen outside of work as well, ensuring that others are taken care of and expecting little in return. While this may not describe everyone's experience with John, it was one of the lighter parts of his complex personality.
His free time was dedicated to his love of cars. He enjoyed constructing and collecting models and getting together with like-minded car enthusiasts as part of a club.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Thursday January 29, 2026 from 3-6pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236. A blessing service will take place at the closing of visitation.
