John J Diulus' Obituary
John J. Diulus, age 85, of Whitehall, passed away on April 18th.
John is survived by his children, John (Terri) Diulus, David (Theresa) Diulus, Chuck (Kelly) Diulus; grandchildren, Trey, Kylie, Macy, Luke, Justin, Ryan, and Heather; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Catherine "Cassie" Lee who passed in January; parents, Joseph and Clara (Pasquarelli) Diulus.
John grew up in Panther Hollow in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. He graduated magna cum laude in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He moved and spent the majority of his adult life in Whitehall where he and his wife, Cassie, raised three children John, Dave, and Chuck. John with his brother, Joe, and brother-in-law, Albert started J-JAC Construction. They successfully operated the company for over 35 years building many of the major streets in the downtown Pittsburgh area. John and Cassie spent their winters in Florida. They enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and enjoying their favorite local restaurants with friends and family. John loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers every Sunday, never missing a game.
Friends will be received on Wednesday April 21, 2021 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236.
In compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines, only 25 people are permitted in the visitation room. Please be prepared to wait outside. All in attendance must wear a face covering.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 A.M. on Thursday April 22, 2021 at South Hills Catholic Grouping 218 Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Worship Site, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin.
