A GOLDEN HEART STOPPED BEATING
John K. Demetrius 72, died on July 28, 2020. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and sadden. John was born on August 20, 1947 to Athan and Alice Demetrius in Pittsburgh Pa. He grew up in Brookline, attended South Hills High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. John was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam war. John ran the family business with his Father until he retired. For the last 13 years John held the position of President of Abbeyville Condominiums. John will be remembered for his good looks, his love of golf, good food and doing things for others. John is survived by his siblings, Allen Demetrius of Bethel Park, Alice Stock of Mt Lebanon, Annabelle Sollon of North Strabane, and Joyce Kail of Bethel Park. He was known as UIncle Johnny to his 20 treasured Nieces and Nephews. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, there will not be a memorial service at this time.
