John Burcin's Obituary
September 3, 2016 At Age 89, of Jefferson Hills, PA, passed away peacefully and entered into eternal rest to be with his beloved wife, Mildred (Kavinsky) Burcin of 32 years. He was the loving father of David J. (Rebecca Hallas), Gary T. (Sandra Turberville) of Jefferson Hills, and Gail A. (Carmen DeLucia) of Pleasant Hills. He was the proud Pap-Pap of Michelle Burcin, Melanie (Kyle) Braden, Melissa (Luke) Billman, Claire, Emanuel and Samuel DeLucia, and doting Great Pap-Pap of Angelo John (A.J.) Billman and Connor James (C.J.) Braden, and many nieces and nephews and his friend Marge Lype. John was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary Burcin; brothers John, Michael, George, sister Mary Karplak, Peter, William and Paul. He was a longtime salesman for Penstan Plumbing Supply and enjoyed selling produce and meeting people at Olde World Produce during the summers on Rt. 51. Friends and family to be received on Tuesday from 2 - 8 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh PA 15236. Please join us for a celebration of John's life Wednesday, 10:00 AM, at St. Thomas A' Becket Roman Catholic Church, where he was a founding member. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Thomas A' Becket Building Fund.
