Farewell, Norm. May our Lord welcome you into His Kingdom.

Norm and his Mother moved into the same residence on Mississippi Avenue where my Mother and Grandmother lived back in the 1930’s. They became great friends and would remain so for the rest of their days.

I remember Norm taking my younger brother and me to visit his grandfather in Finleyville c1950. That was a big deal for us kids traveling from Dormont all the way out to a place we didn’t know existed – and with the guy we knew as always laughing and cheerful. The first wedding I attended was when Norm and Audrey were married in 1952. Over the years, I would see Norm mainly when he was visiting my folks.

Blessed with an outstanding personality, Norm also possessed a rare blend of marvelous wit and kindness in true Christian tradition.

My heartfelt sympathy for his family.

I met Norm working for the Bell Telephone Company in 1948. We became good friends
and enjoyed many years of fun times with he and his wife Audrey. We left Pittsburgh in
1995, and our friendship continued with phone calls and occasional visits. We will miss
him very much.

Pap. I remember you always having a smile on your face. I would give anything to be little again, sitting on your lap, rocking in your rocker listening to you tell your stories. And no matter where we would go, it seemed like every single person you knew and had to stop to say hello. I used to hate it when I was younger but now I see how many peoples lives you have truly helped just by being you. I will miss you dearly, but I know that grandma was right there waiting at the gates for you. So until we meet again pap , I know you and gram will be watching over us. I love you!
