I worked with and depended on John to be the expert on the Bettis Laboratory's electrical distribution system. Together with Art Bradley he kept the Lab lights on and the Lab operational through countless unplanned adventures. I could always count on John and his expertise and dedication to support the Lab's mission for the Navy and the country. A damn fine electrical engineer and a good man.
We never imagined we would be writing this......the person we loved dearly, counted on endlessly and looked up to always..... has left us too soon. We will totally miss him with an inward ache but an outward admiration. There was no one like Rick. He was so knowledgeable in so many areas that we always had our “ go to “ guy. Big brothers have a way of enriching your life like no other...... We want to thank everyone for your heartfelt wishes. It shows us just how important Rick was to so many and makes us softly smile to think how much he wouldn’t have liked all the fuss!!
