We cancelled France and ended up all spending Christmas together at Seven Springs in a cabin. Our first Christmas without you. The only thing that brought us peace was that you would be spending Christmas with Ricky, Dennis and Dad. Christy and I have nearly survived 2 months without an argument, haha the 2 remaining Pegg girls. You were such a huge part of our lives, our Every day lives. Christy and I even wanted to call you to gossip about your own funeral. Wow would have you complained about how the funeral home handled your burial. We on the other hand did not have the energy to complain as even the best burial would not have brought you back to us. The loss of you, ( and we have had many losses) was the hardest. Never hearing your laugh, the pgh ummm, being warned of a snow storm that would keep us home bound for a week. Pgh lost a legend, Joann Dinardo. If I never told you I was so proud of the life you made for yourself after Dad and the boys died. It broke my heart to read about your grief in your journals. We did manage to laugh and continue to create memories: your 80th Birthday and returning to Cape May, our Christmas in Deep Creek, girls trips, gambling, thirfting…. Our family reunion at my house this summer and our last girls trip the weekend before you died to Old Town and MGM. You had us out to 2am. I honestly enjoyed time spent with my 86 year old mom over most others. I knew one day You would leave me but not now maybe in 5 or 6 years, even then would be too soon. You had more to experience with your family, Tyler and Makayla getting married, you officially becoming a great grandma. It’s a boy and 2 beautiful girls. So as a great man once said” how do you say goodbye to someone you love?” Then Dad said to me “ I love you very, very, very, very much”. So mom I love you very, very, very , very much! Donna
