Before we ever moved down here, you both were coming over and showing such love and compassion to my elderly parents. I remember my dad telling me about these amazing new friends he and mom had, who brought them over the most delicious homemade cookies LOL :)

Zach and I came down to visit and I was overwhelmed by the kindness you all showed to Mom and Dad, so we went over and surprised you all by singing Christmas carols at your door. I will never forget how Joann came out and hugged me - a total stranger! From that moment on, I knew we were fast friends.

We are sending you all hugs and prayers.

Forever I will thank God for the gift of knowing you, Joann. I miss you so, so much.

Mike, my heart was broken when I heard from you. Yes, Mike she did fight these past few years with dignity. She looked her beautiful self whenever I saw her or she would send me a picture. I can't count how many great times we had but I will remember all of the memories we made. It was always nice to be around you two. You could feel the love between you two. You were both patient and kind with each other. I will always remember her calling you \"Babe\". Michael and Chase, my sympathy to you both. I will truly miss your Mom. Joann & I were married for 10 years. She is the love of my life, and I will forever miss her. Today we would be celebrating Joann’s Birthday. Instead, we are preparing to lay her to rest. My heart is broken but I find peace knowing her suffering has ended. Joann demonstrated remarkable grace throughout her struggle, and I am proud to have her as my wife. Happy Birthday Joann!
