Joan M. Wilwohl's Obituary
Joan M. Wilwohl, 89, of Pittsburgh, PA. went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2023. She was born in Portage PA on November 14, 1933.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Thomas H. Wilwohl; her daughters Robin Wilwohl and Pattilynn (Mark) Yimin; 6 grandchildren Mark (Natasha) Wilwohl, Staci (Marty) Frazier, Michael (Stephanie) Schnupp, Robin Lynn (Kevin) Mathews, Justin (Ashley) Yimin, Mark Jude (Alysha) Yimin; 16 great-grandchildren Julianna (Cody) Weatherly, Alaina Frazier, Nathan Frazier, Tyler Frazier, Matthew Wilwohl, Brendon Wilwohl, Gabriella Wilwohl, Lucas Schnupp, Lily Schnupp, Payton Mathews, Baylee Jane Mathews, Kolton Mathews, Aidan Yimin, Jaxon Yimin, Ava Mae Yimin, Abel Yimin; great-great grandchildren Parker Weatherly and Clyde Weatherly; sister “Sissy Girl” Jean Novotny Smay; and blessed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Ann Novotny; siblings Mary George, Genevieve Shaw, Julia Nagy, Annabelle "Ann" Kordish, Dorothy Kuzeck, George Novotny, and two siblings Carlotta and Joseph, who became the family's angels at young ages.
We are blessed to have an angel watching over us and she is at peace celebrating with her loved ones once again.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 19th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 20th at 10am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church - Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, 1 Grove Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15236
Entombment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Mausoleum in Pittsburgh, PA.
