Joan E. Schubert's Obituary
Joan Elvira Kello-Schubert, 92, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. Joan was born on June 26, 1930, the loving daughter of the late George and Ilona (Clemont) Kello. She grew up in Carrick, where she attended local schools. On December 24, 1954, Joan married her husband, the late Albert E. Schubert and together they made their home, raised their family and traveled during his 20-year Air Force career. When her children became a little older, Joan became a career woman, owning and operating her own residential cleaning business.
Joan was meticulous by nature and had an exceptional work ethic. She loved flowers of all kinds, and especially loved tending to her garden. In her free time, she enjoyed playing piano, following the local news stations and reading. Above all, her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her family.
Joan is survived by her children, Joni Cutenese (Charles) and Ronald Schubert (Christine); her grandchildren, Alan William Schubert, Angelina Galli (Andy), Brendan Cutenese, Crystal Cutenese, Madison Schubert, Ronald Schubert, Jr., Mackenzie Schubert, Christopher Schubert, Cullan Schubert, Jaycob Schubert, and Steven Schubert; six beautiful great grandchildren; and a nephew, David Kello. In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was predeceased by two sons, Alan Schubert and Steve Schubert; a grandson, Dustin Cutenese; and her siblings, Jaqueline Kello, Milton Kello (Anne), Lillian Kennedy (Frank), and Pearl Kello.
