Joan Luxbacher's Obituary
Joan Luxbacher, 65, of Pittsburgh, PA. passed away in her sleep on September 2, 2022. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dave Luxbacher; her brother Robert Warner, Jr.; and her sister Janet Parme. She was Aunt Jojo to her niece, Sarah Parme and Baby Jubilee, her godniece, Jill Fielder, and her nephew, Nick Warner and his children Easton and Cole. Joan is also survived by her best friend, Cookie Kelley.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eleanor Warner.
Joanie loved her dog children, Charlie, Gypsy, Teddy Bear, Rocky, and Sidney. When asked to choose a puppy, Joanie asked Dave "but which one?" As Joanie cradled Teddy Bear in her arms, Dave said "well, it looks like you already have chosen one!" As they were driving home Joanie asked Dave, "what shall we call him?" Dave answered "how about Bear?" Joanie replied, "how about 'Teddy Bear'" and that decided it! Joanie was very loving and a friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Friends and family will be received from 10-2 pm, Friday, September 9th at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, where a funeral service will be held following the visitation Friday, September 9th at 2 PM.
