Joan was my sister and she taught me strength, how to overcome adversary, and perseverance. Despite her cerebral palsy , she always wanted to achieve the next thing. She wanted to be better at everything she tried. She was married for 47 years to her devoted husband Donald and it was clear there was a loving connection. She continued her education at colleges, correspondence schools, and Church studies. She wanted to be the best she could be and she was. Thank you Joan for being such a shinning example. Mom and Dad were very proud of you.
