Jerome J. Bauer, 75, of Brentwood, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 9, 2024.
Jerome is survived by his loving son John Bauer. Cherished grandfather of Joseph Bauer, Sarah (Zachary Bevilacqua) Bauer and Melissa (Adam) James; great-grandfather of Samantha and Thomas. Beloved brother-in-law of Kathy (Albert "Skip" Miller) Krauth-Miller and Nancy (the late Robert) Fenton. Loving uncle of Kimberly (John) Amadio; great-uncle of Samantha (Corey) Amadio, Jonathan Amadio, and Katelyn Amadio. Jerome is also survived by his 23 year old cat, Major Troubles, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Janet A. Bauer; parents, Joseph and Virginia Bauer; and his cats, Colonel Brandy, and Captain Kit.
Jerome was the proud owner of Jerome's Tavern in the South Side of Pittsburgh. In retirement, he was a prolific day trader and coin collector. Legacy is carried on in his family and friend's fantasy football league "Jerome's".
Services are Private and have been entrusted to the care of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.
