Jennifer Jackson Walker's Obituary
For I know the plans I have for you….
Jennifer Jackson Walker, 50, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, departed this life on July 31, 2022.
Jennifer was born on February 10, 1972 in South Williamson, Kentucky where she later graduated from Williamson High School in 1990. Jennifer later graduated from West Virginia State College (University) with a B.S. in Finance and later earned her MBA from Marshall University.
Jennifer was married to Frankie C. Walker, II in 1999 and they relocated to Washington, Pennsylvania where she worked as an underwriter for CIGNA Insurance and Highmark Insurance. She later became a licensed cosmetologist and operated her own hair care salon from her home, while simultaneously homeschooling their two daughters for 14 years and being a remarkable and loving homemaker.
Faith played an important role in Jennifer’s life at a young age. She was baptized at Logan Street Baptist Church and later taught Sunday School at Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church, Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, and Walnut Grove Church. Jennifer also faithfully served on the membership committee Macedonia Baptist Church where the family eventually became members.
Jennifer was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated through the Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and enjoyed the sisterhood of her many brilliant and beautiful sorors.
Jennifer had an infectious smile and a genuine love for people. She was thoughtful, caring and giving to others. She dedicated her life to family and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and Grace Towles, Aunt Gladys Baker and childhood friend Sabrina Rush.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Frankie Walker, II; two daughters, Hannah Walker and Gracelyn Walker; parents Dr. Douglas Jackson, Sr. of Louisville, Kentucky and Nancy Towles Jackson of Williamson, WV; Sister, Renee Jackson Robison (Tracy) of St. Albans, WV; “Sister” Raquel Greene (Cedric) of Dunbar, WV, Brother, Douglas Jackson, Jr. of Charleston, WV; Father-in-law, Frankie C. Walker, Sr. and Mother-in-law, Deborah Walker of Institute, WV; sisters-in-law: Shani Walker Sumter (Jason) of Greer, SC; Chrisché Walker and Christal Walker of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Brandon Walker (Stacy) of (Charlotte, NC); nephews: Dr. Trae Robison of VA, Terron Robison of WV; Mikah Coleman of Michigan; Keion Walker of NC; great- nephews: Kace Robison and Jonathan Davis Jr. of WV; nieces: JaVaughn Washington of MD; Janee Robison of WV, Ametrea Robison of WV; Anniah Jackson, Keenon Jackson, Hayden Jackson and Sydne Jackson of TX; Braylin Walker and Jazlyn Walker of NC; great – nieces: Jaliah Meyers of TX and Sameera Gamaleu of WV and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and special great-aunt Juanita Hooks Towles.

Check on that person you have been meaning to call, ask the tough questions and make sure they are getting the help they need; and

The family will receive visitors, guests and flower donations at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh PA 15236 on Saturday August 6, 2022 from 10:00am – 12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm. * Please do not feel obligated to wear black. *
A short memorial service for family only will be held in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation.
