Jennie Krakosky's Obituary
Jennie Krakosky, age 93, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. Born on December 31, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Beckas.
Jennie was the beloved mother of David Krakosky, Jerome (Sharon) Krakosky, Mark (Rachel) Krakosky, and Paul (Susan) Krakosky; the loving grandmother of Michael, Kelly, Kevin, Candace, Marlee, Devon and Luke; and the great-grandmother of Sam. She also leaves her sisters, Dorothy and Elaine, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Jennie was preceded death by her husband of 30 years, Anthony Krakosky, and her sister, Marie.
Jennie was a devoted and caring wife and mother. Care taking came natural to her which allowed her to fully embrace her role as a mother. Her love only grew stronger with the added generations earning her the title of Yia Yia and Great Yia Yia. Her family was her main priority as she was always there for anyone who needed her. Jennie was an animal lover, especially cherishing family dogs. In her free time she was a movie buff and could always be found enjoying a good film.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service in honor of Jennie will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
