Jeanne F. Graff's Obituary
Jeanne Froehlich Graff, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Whitehall, entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2023. Jeanne was born July 20, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Milton and Merna Froehlich. She is survived by her three children; Douglas (Maggie), Geoffrey (Jessica), Jocelyn (Joe) Berletic and her long time faithful companion Rodney Irwin. Affectionately known as “Grand” to her five grandchildren; Eli, Nora, and Abby Graff; Brooks and Barrett Berletic. She is also survived by her three brothers; George (Sue) Froehlich, Jim Froehlich OFM Cap, and Larry (Carol) Froehlich, as well as her two sisters; Clare (the late Dave) Walk and Carole (the late Jim) Succop. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends that were like family. Jeanne was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Moore.
Jeanne was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in 1967 and continued her education at Duquesne University, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education. Jeanne devoted her professional career to children, teaching in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.
Grand loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events, play games, sew, host dinners, and bake treats to share with everyone. Hosting gatherings was a particular passion of hers. No one would be in her house for more than one minute without being asked if they need a drink or begin to have their mouth water from the aromas abound. Whether it was Christmas morning or a random weeknight, all guests were in for a multi-course feast. She was never one to disappoint with her fashionable and elegant style. No matter the occasion, Jeanne was never outclassed by anyone. She also had an uncanny ability to send cards for any and every occasion, always showing she cared for those near and dear to her. She will be sorely missed by her Bunko Babes and Book Club Ladies. Jeanne never turned down a social engagement and was always the life of the party.
