Jean Sodini's Obituary
Jean Sodini, age 96 of Meadville (formerly Baldwin Township, PA), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 29, 2026. Jean was born on November 27, 1929. During her childhood and early adulthood, she resided in Carnegie, PA. She was the daughter of Anna and John Fekula of Carnegie and sister of the late Russell Hibay. She is survived by her sister Dolores.
After getting married, she made her home in Baldwin Township where she raised her three children. She was a loving mother to Sherry (Ray), Michael (Karen), and the late George, dear grandmother to Lisa (Phil), David (Shan), Michael P. (Eojin), Jenna (Tyler), and John, and great-grandmother to Ethan, Caleb, Noah, and Alex.
Jean was a longtime member of St. Winifred's Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA. She enjoyed cooking baking, sewing, reading, gardening, and was an avid walker. Fond memories include many lively dinner parties that always included relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
