Jean K. Johnston's Obituary
Jean Kim Johnston passed away November 12, 2019 in Chesterfield, VA. She was born March 5, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman R. Johnston and a brother Donald M. Kim and his wife Marjorie.
Jean is survived by her daughter Janis and son-in-law James M. Elliott, grandchildren Marcus and Sofia Elliott and nieces Debbie May (Gary), Marcia Stanley (David) and Sharon McKain (Matt).
Jean was a Past Matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, serving as Secretary for Silver Chalice Chapter #530 for 25 years. She was active in her church and sang in the choir at Baldwin Community United Methodist in Whitehall. She was also involved in her community and Girl Scouting for many years. She lived in Pittsburgh until moving to Virginia to live with her daughter and family in 2004. Visitation will be held in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh PA on Sunday Nov 17 from 2-4 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday Nov 18th in the funeral home. Interment Jefferson Memorial Park. Eastern Star Services will be held Sunday at 4 pm
