Jay V Ramsey's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jay V. Ramsey of Bethel Park, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on February 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Jay was a lifelong Penn State fan, outdoorsman, and avid sports fan.
Jay is survived by his cherished wife, Karen Ramsey, who stood by him through life's many journeys. He is also lovingly remembered by his son, Jason (Connie) Ramsey, and his daughter, Jennifer Ramsey. His grandchildren, Mitchell and Claire Ramsey, were his pride and joy and they brought immense happiness to his life. Jay treasured being an active part of their lives.
Jay was the beloved brother of Jeffrey and James Ramsey and was a valued uncle and cousin to many. His family knew him as a steadfast presence full of love, laughter, and wisdom.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Shirley Ramsey and his in-laws James and Nancy Berkeybile.
To honor Jay's remarkable life, visitation will take place at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh PA 15236 on Monday February 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held in the chapel at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Jefferson Memorial Park.
In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew and loved Jay to join us in remembering his generous spirit and the cherished memories he leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
