My brother. My first best friend. You left a hole in my heart that will never be filled. You taught me everything I know and I wouldn’t be the strong, out spoken person that I am without your guidance. You taught me to appreciate music and how much a song can touch your soul. Jared I’ve known you since we were basically kids...My heart breaks with this news. Life takes everyone on different journeys and separates even the closest of friends sometimes and I’m so sorry our contact was only sporadic over the last years and that I couldn’t be there for you in this time. You were always laughing and smiling and that’s how I will continue to remember you and keep you in my heart. I will always remember the great times we all had! The whole crew! We were always together! I will remember braiding your hair lol listening to music and just being carefree. I will always smile when I think of our New Year’s Eve in your room and hanging out at 885 park! I still can’t believe you’re gone..my heart is heavy for that. But my hopes are that you are at peace and no matter what we will see each other again one day. My heart HURTS bro! Smh! I cant even type anything how i want it to come out. I love you man!
And i know you loved me just the same. This pain will be with me forever. I wish I could go back to our teenage years just 1 time and tell you how important you are to those that call you FRIEND! I feel like if I just keep trying to type that it might change something. Like i should never let this post end, because that way im just sending you a long text, and time seems like it should be standing still until i have to hit send. Thats when it feels so final and and these words become more important than just a usual text. And that is why its bothering me so much. Because I dont even know how much sense im even making right now. And i feel like you deserve so much more. The crazy part is, that im usually really good at expressing myself no matter if that be by mouth or thru written words. But i had to leave something here for you. Its just not even close to how I want it to come out. My brain is just too scrambled for this right now. So now rest easy Smoke! Jared, I loved you like a brother. I met you in grade school and you changed my life with your art and your personality. I loved how good you were even in the 4th grade. You made me want to become an artist. My entire life I felt like an outcast, you were always my \"popular\" friend who took me out of my shell and I felt popular for the first time in my life, you made a very lonely childhood fill with great memories of friendship. You were my only way of watching horror movies, I loved them but my mom would have killed me if she knew, it gave me a life long love of horror. All I keep doing is looking back on our friendship and finding more and more things that you are the inspiration for and the pain just grows that I'll never get to see you again. Love you brother and I'll never forget you....
