Janice Ann Roach's Obituary
Jan Roach, a selflessness and loving mother, passed away after a valiant fight on July 9, 2024. Born on March 2, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA, Jan's life was a testament to her thoughtful nature and her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community.
Janice is survived by her husband of 31 years, Billy Roach. She was the beloved mother of Corey Roach and Ciara Roach and Corey's partner, Emily Bolton, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness. Jan was a loving sister to Debbie (Jim) Eber and held the memory of her late siblings, John Jurewicz and Jackie (Mike) Posa, close to her heart. She was a cherished aunt to Todd (Becky) Gugliuzza and Jamie (Bill) Burnette, and a doting great-aunt to Zane, Braden, Addison, and Delaney. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dolores Jurewicz, who instilled in her the values of compassion and generosity that defined her life.
Jan's academic journey culminated in a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), which she put to excellent use throughout her career. She dedicated her professional life to retail management, serving as a manager for Kmart until her retirement. Her work ethic and leadership were an inspiration to her colleagues, and her mentorship left a lasting impact on many who worked alongside her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Jan's true passion lay in her interests and volunteer work. She was an avid reader, often found with a book in hand. Crafting and scrapbooking were among her favorite pastimes, allowing her to preserve memories and express her creativity. Jan's love for helping others shone through her involvement with sports boosters and various community initiatives. She was always the first to offer assistance, whether organizing events or lending a listening ear.
Jan's life was a living example of the words that best describe her: selfless, loving, and thoughtful. She approached every person and situation with a warm heart and an open mind. Her ability to see the good in others and to act with kindness was a gift that she freely gave to all who knew her.
As we say goodbye to Jan Roach, we celebrate the extraordinary life, we reflect on the joy she brought to every occasion, the support she provided without hesitation, and the love that she shared unconditionally. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be treasured forever. Jan's unwavering love and selflessness have left an indelible mark on the world, and her legacy will live on through the many people she has influenced.
