Janice Marie Kormick's Obituary
Janice M. Kormick, age 74, of Whitehall, passed away on October 23, 2025.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Janice was the daughter of Walter and Marie Oldynski.
Janice enjoyed a long career at Hartford Steam Boiler, where she dedicated over 50 years of her life in multiple different roles. Her professional commitment was surpassed only by her extraordinary devotion to her family. She adored her role as a grandmother, relishing every moment spent with her grandchildren.Janice possessed a spirit as tough as nails, yet she had the biggest heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was like the neighborhood mom; she nurtured countless souls and formed bonds that will not be forgotten. In her free time, Janice enjoyed playing the poker machine at her local watering hole.
Janice leaves behind her husband of 49 years, George Kormick; sons, Scott (Ashley) Kormick and Zach (Ashley) Kormick; her beloved grandchildren, Harley Quinn and Bane Warren; her siblings, Claudia (Dennis) Dewey, Deborah (Bernie) Eisel, Susan Seibel, Pam Rende, Marsia (Martin) Ackman and Joe (Katie) Oldynski; sister-in-law, Mary Alice (the late Bob) Studnicki; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Chris Oldynski; parents-in-law, George and Ana Mae Kormick; as well as her sister-in- law, Martha (the late Andy) Trecki.
