Janet Elizabeth Sharp's Obituary
Janet was a devoted, compassionate and greatly loved woman.
She passed at age 75.
Janet was a wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, friend, foster mother, fierce protector, hospice volunteer, missionary, literacy tutor and woman of great faith.
Her parents, Waldo Marion Brown and Miriam Corine Brown, raised her along with her brother, David Brown, and two sisters, Norma Joan Mihuc and Marge Ann Fasnacht. Many more family and friends will miss her dearly.
Janet was in Phi Beta Kappa when she studied Psychology at Penn State where she met the love of her life and husband, Richard Allen Sharp.
She worked for Brown Motor Company, owned by her father. Then she went on to work as a management analyst for the DOD, followed by work in the banking industry, trucking industry, Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church and, finally, as a children's fund coordinator for Pittsburgh Mercy.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, crafting, caring for others of all ages and playing the piano and the organ for Sunday morning services at James Chapel.
Janet felt at peace near water, whether it be a pond, a river, a bay or an ocean. Family trips to Ocean City, MD were special times for Janet, Richard and her daughter, Lisa Leigh Humphreys.
Remember her well.
She was truly an angel among us.
