Jane Slate's Obituary
Jane Slate, age 72, of Pittsburgh, born in Monessen, Pa, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2018.
Jane is survived by her beloved children Scott (Kristy) Slate and Cheryl (Lewis) Jones. Loving sister of Dennis (Mary Ann) Troy and Geraldine (Mike) Sabol. Adored grandmother of Kendall and Stephen Slate. She leaves behind nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Cyril and Anna Troychak.
Jane was a long time member of Nativity Catholic Church where she immersed herself in many church activities. She also enjoyed bowling, hiking and many other interests.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at Nativity Catholic Church at 10 am, 5811 Curry Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. All family and friends please meet at Nativity Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane's honor to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org .
