James Albert Schafer's Obituary
James Albert Schafer, passed away on February 9, 2024, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Born on September 19, 1956, in Pittsburgh PA.
James left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him, his beloved significant other, Donna Roberts. Together, they shared a life full of love and mutual respect. He was a proud father to his children, Eric Schafer and Emily (Mike) Petrazio. James embraced the joys of grandfather hood with open arms, cherishing every moment spent with his grandchildren, Sebastian Schafer, and Peyton, Anthony, and Owen Petrazio. His sister, Lynn Fastuca, will fondly remember James's laughter and kindness also survived by his nephews Mike and Matt Fastuca. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald W. and Nancy C Schafer, who instilled in him the virtues of integrity and kindness.
For his entire career, starting at the age of 18, James worked as a dedicated UPS driver. His commitment to his work was second only to his commitment to his family. James was a man of many passions, including hunting and fishing, which allowed him to appreciate the tranquility and beauty of nature. He also found joy in beach vacations, where he could relax and recharge.
An active member of the Greenburg Sportsmen's Association, James shared his love for the outdoors with fellow enthusiasts. His faith played a role in his life, and he was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church.
James Albert Schafer lived a life full of purpose and love. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to James, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey complete, and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts.
