James R. Farrell's Obituary
James R. Farrell, age 64, of West Mifflin, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 13, 2021.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Katherine Farrell (Grese); children, Ryan (Matt Hire) Farrell and Kalyn Farrell; sister, Ruth Fitzpatrick; as well as many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Farrell and Ruth Farrell; and siblings, Charles Farrell, Janet Banachoski, Patricia Soeder.
Jim was a real-life hero and role model. Serving 37 years as a West Mifflin police officer, Jim retired in 2016 but continued serving his community as a police officer for Allegheny Health Network. He loved spending time with his wife and children. He was the best husband, father, and friend. Although he was born and raised in Pittsburgh, he was a passionate Seattle Seahawks fan. Jim will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
A private service will be held. Inurnment will take place at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.
