James Ocskay's Obituary
James F. Ocskay, age 81, of Lithia, FL (formerly Jefferson Hills, PA) passed away surrounded by family and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, along with his son Jeffrey on May 2, 2016. Son to the late James and Jennie Ocskay, Jim grew up in West Homestead, PA. He was a beloved Husband of 23 years to Susan, cherished Father to Tracie (Todd) Pridemore, Lori (David) Amerson, Julie (Joe) Dabrowski and the late Jeffrey Ocskay. He was an adored Grandfather to Alexa and Hannah Pridemore, Grant and Kendall Amerson, and Cole and Zach Dabrowski. Jim served in the United States Army and went on to eventually become President of Dawar Technologies. He quickly became friends with everyone that he met, and his contagious laugh will be missed by all who knew him. His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren and chauffeuring them around. Jim also loved to travel, especially to Disneyworld, and to play golf. He provided hours of enjoyment playing the piano for family and friends. Jim was a season ticket holder for the Pittsburgh Steelers and continued to show his support from Florida. The family would like to say a special thank you to Larry and MaryJane Johnson for their love and care for Jim. Visitation will be held Friday, May 6 from 2-8pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 10am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation.
