James D. Nicola's Obituary
James D. Nicola, age 76, of North Side, on December 3, 2017. Loving husband of Kathleen Junghans-Nicola; son of the late George and Mary Nicola. Survived by his sister, Alice Marie Rizzo, and twin brother John R. Nicola; preceded in death by brothers, George and Joseph Nicola. Devoted Father of Barbara (the late John) Buchanan, Diane (Paul) Miller, Denice (Paula) Nicola-Golgan, Cynthia (David) Druga-Piterski; proud Grand Pap of Christopher (Katie), Adam, Casey Rose (George), Jacob, Mary (Jake), Elizabeth, Shannon, Thomas, and David; and Great-Grand Pap of Erin, Eithan, and Kylee. A graduate of Baldwin High School, Jim was a Registered Plumber at Brookline Plumber and retired from the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. He was an avid race car driver, hunter, and Harley Davidson motorcycle owner and operator. His Family always came first, we called, he showed up, no matter what. Jim was totally dedicated to his Family. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 12 pm - 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Funeral Home Chapel.
