Jimmy was a great guy in high school. When I found we were in the same industry, I was thrilled. We bumped into each other many times. He was always that wonderful person.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all family and friends. May all families look forward to a time in the near future when death will be no more and all sickness will be done away with. Isaiah 25:8 and 33:24. Knowing that there is an opportunity to be reunited with loved ones.
I had the immense honor of working with Jim several years ago. It was my first time working on a set and he couldn't have been more helpful. Or kinder. Or funnier. His sense of humor was wonderfully dry and he had me in stitches half the day. I'm so grateful that I was lucky enough to know him. My condolences to his family -- he was one of life's great people and he will be sorely missed.
35 years ago, Jim and I worked together in the Media Productions department at Westinghouse Electric. Even then, he was a kind, levelheaded, capable and talented man. It's no wonder he was such a success in a challenging business, and so well-loved by friends and throughout the industry.
I went through my photo archives today and found photos of him / us from the early 80's in our corporate television studio.
Jim, you did well during your many trips around sun but it ended too soon. Heaven just got sweeter.
RIP
This is a sad day for us all.

He is gone,
You can shed tears that he is gone.
Or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back.
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him.
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday.
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone.
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Sending sincere condolences and love Uncle Jimmy, Lauren and Beth .
You are are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Jim on several projects over the years. I always enjoyed his calming and good-natured presence on the set. He will be dearly missed. We pray that peace be with his family during this difficult time and that light perpetual shine upon him.

To the Emswiller family, we are friends of James dad, and both my kids have met James a few times. We are from the Eau Claire area, and my kids used to do work for Jim at his camp in Cherry Valley. We are all so saddened to hear of this shocking loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, please tell Jim to reach out to us if we can help in any way.
