Jim Loeffler will remain in our hearts forever.
I met Jim about 30 years ago through the BHS crew and many farmhouse gatherings and the Ocean City trip. Jim loved coming out to AZ to hike and be in the sun and heat. He would lay around the pool and slather with baby oil! My kids will miss “Uncle” Jim. He was due to come out and see meteor showers in the desert skies. That was his next request for a visit. I hope you are now pain free, Jim. You’ll definitely be missed.
My favorite memory of Lefty was in the very early 2000's. I was in Ocean City with the \"guys\" and was asked if I wouldn't mind riding back with Lefty to keep him company. At the time Lefty had a black jeep, and I had never ridden in one prior to this. Twenty years later I am still a bit wobbly as Jeeps rattle with every little crack they hit. Not to mention it wasn't the quietest vehicle either. We had to stop numerous times to secure the top as the snaps kept opening and he was afraid we might lose the top. My condolences to his family and friends. You had a fine son/brother/uncle and he left us way too soon. God bless. -Rico-
I first met Lefty in 2005 at the Firehouse. Lefty took me, and many other trainee firefighters under his wing. He had the perfect mix of fearlessness and compassion. He would always be the first person to offer to help anyone in need - both on and off duty. He was just a purely good person. Thanks for the memories over the years Lefty. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. Simon
Thank you, Lefty for being a member of the Goshen Fire company. You always had a smile on your face when at the fire house. You will be missed by all. Thank you for all the help you gave me in the past outside of the fire house. Ride your motorcycle into the sunset and rest easy. Sue
I knew Jim as a long time friend of my brother, Gerry Mulligan. He was always such a nice, kind, polite young man. I am so sad for his family and many, many friends. RIP Lefty. Maureen Mulligan
Jim- you are and will always be a special part of our family. I love you little brother❤️
I remember quite a few years back when we were having a summer gathering for the various support teams (back when SEST, Performance, ENV were all under same leadership). We had to get a lot of ice to keep the drinks cool, and if it wasn't for Jim and his Chevy Avalanche we would never have gotten the ice we needed to the park where the festivities were. Jim just up and volunteered to help, no hesitation, no questions. That is the kind of guy Jim was. I will miss him, he was a great guy, and a great person to work with. David Stevens
May GOD hold you in his clutches James; As a kindred spirit, I enjoyed working with you. May there be more people like you to help our society as a whole...! :)
I'm one of Jim's coworkers and we worked together often over the last 10 or 15 years. He was such a great guy and will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
