James W. Corbett's Obituary
James W. Corbett, at the age of 88 from Mt Lebanon PA, died on Friday Nov 27, 2020, he was born Nov 13, 1932 to the late James F. & Madeline M. Corbett and the father of Lisa Corbett and Lori Bowden.
He was the cherished Uncle of Kevin, Bob, Karin, Suzanne, Beth and Michael and survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by sisters Gloria Finn and Virginia Hahner.
Jim was a proud 1950 graduate of Mt Lebanon High School, a 1954 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and a 1956 graduate of US Air Force Flight School. While in USAF he did one tour in Korea, two tours in Vietnam, and was part of Strategic Air Command. Jim retired from USAF in 1975 as a Lt. Col.
Following USAF retirement, he worked as a Corporate Pilot for Christman Air and Corporate Air, based in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was a proud member of the Bower Hill Community Church and was active in the Mt Lebanon Community for many years.
For the last 12 years he was a resident of Asbury Heights Community.
A memorial visitation will be held on June 12th 1 pm to 2 pm followed by a celebration of Jim’s life at 2 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh PA 15236. Condolences may be shared at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
