James V. Cook's Obituary
James V. Cook, age 90, of Pittsburgh, passed away on January 8, 2022.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife Loretta.
He is survived by his two sons,; Edward A (Valerie) Cook and James A. (Anne) Cook; one grandson, David Cook; four granddaughters, Jamie (Mark) Gitzen, Stephanie (Dennis) Fleming, Bridgette Cook and Sarah (Tyler) Geary; seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Lois Trainer as well as many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Eleanor (St. Clair) Cook, brother, Wendel Cook and 2 sisters, Betty Spence and Dorothy Widdson.
James was a big hearted loving man, whose family meant everything to him. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11th from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, January 12 from 10 AM until the time of service at noon at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in James's name may be made to Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Rd. STE 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
