James "Bob" Armitage's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James "Bob" Armitage, who left this world peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on November 10, 1940, in Springfield, Illinois, Bob lived a life marked by dedication, love, and service.
Bob earned a bachelor's degree and embarked on a successful career in the hospital services industry, where he made lasting contributions through his role as a manager. Throughout his life, he was not only a devoted professional but also a cherished family man.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Armitage, and their three sons: Thomas Robert (Charlene), Andrew Scott (Dawn), and Richard John (Melissa) Armitage. Bob took great joy in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Alyssa, Nolan, Layla, Cecilia, Kaelyn, Kristen and Ryan great grandchildren Bailey, Clayton, and Riley. He is also survived by his brother, William Armitage, who, like many, will remember Bob for his kindness and unwavering support. Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Irene Armitage and siblings Barbara Folz and John Armitage.
Memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday February 28 2025 at 12:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 301 Curry Hollow Rd Pittsburgh PA 15236.
