Coleman J. Donahue Jr.'s Obituary
Coleman J. Donahue Jr., age 86, of West Mifflin, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 4, 2021.
Coleman is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janice Donahue; and his loving children Lynn A. (Anthony) DiCenzo and Coleman J. Donahue III; and his grandchildren, Kristie, Jacqueline, Anthony, Coleman, Danny, Dina, Tyler, Ryan, Malissa and Brian, and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings, Robert (Peggy) Donahue, Mary (the late Donald) Grossman, and Maurene (the late Alan) Pare, sister-in-law Barbara Donahue, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Helen Francis and Coleman J. Donahue Sr., and his brother Michael Donahue.
Coleman was a paratrooper in the 503rd Airborne, Infantry Regiment, 11th Airborne Division. He worked for Schwebel Baking Company for over 40 years. Over his lifetime he enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing and fishing. He loved to tend to his vegetable garden. Spending time with his family in the mountains camping was his favorite pastime. Coleman was a huge music fan. Above all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Chapel Service will be held following visitation at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Promedica Heartland Hospice, 750 Holiday Drive Suite 110, Foster Plaza #9, Pittsburgh PA 15220.
