Irvin W. Happe, Jr.'s Obituary
Irvin Walter Happe, Jr., age 85, of Baldwin Township, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 4, 2018. He has gone to join his beloved wife, Patricia Ann, to celebrate their upcoming 65th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his children, Michael (Cindy), Mark (Denise), Thomas (Betsy), David (Polly), Stephen (Julie), Lori (Mike) Malenka, and Kris (Doug) Wagner; grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Dan, Nikki, Kristen, Mark, Stephanie, Luke, Meghan, Sam, David, Morgan, Mackenzie, Cameron, Kelsey, Carley, Alex, Kaitlyn, Andy, and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Maya, Gus, Dinah, Emmy, Asher, Eva, Rowan, Ellie, Imogene, and Wylie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Margaret Happe; and sisters, Elaine, Betty, Grace, and Margaret. He took great pride in his growing family, community, and turkey carving skills. He loved to coach his children in many sports. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army. He was a kind and loving man, and he instilled those values in his children and grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 6-8 PM & Thursday, November 8, 1-3 & 6-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 9, 10 am, at St. Winifred Church, Mt. Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grady's Decision (gradysdecision.com) or to a charity of your choice.
