Irene J Gallagher's Obituary
Irene J. Gallagher, 85, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025.
Irene was born on July 25, 1940 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Constantine and Mary Agnes Zwastetzky.
Irene was a woman of quiet strength and gentle spirit, known for her kindness, generosity, and ever-pleasant nature. A devoted and active member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, she gave much of her time and heart to her faith community until she was no longer able to attend. Irene found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing the lottery, whether she was winning or not, always with a hopeful heart and a smile.
She was a gifted baker, cherished by family and friends for her famous pizzelles and decadent Texas sheet cake, both of which became staples at every gathering. Irene had a deep love for animals, especially owls, and always shared her home with a beloved pet. Her calm demeanor and patient presence made her a joy to be around. She will be missed by all who knew her.
