Irene Helen (Banik) Dalton, born on August 13, 1925 in Homestead, Pa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 while a resident of Locust Grove Personal and Memory Care in West Mifflin, PA. Wife of Thomas Dalton, Sr., who proceeded her in death. Daughter of her late parents, Joseph and Mary (Belas) Banik. Sister of Michael Banik, Margaret (Stanley) Jablonski, and Mary (John) Zavada. Mother of Kathleen (James) Tishon, Patricia (Kenneth) Klammer, Thomas (Monica) Dalton, Jr., and Sean (Tris) Dalton. Grandmother of Jayme (Hazem) Tishon-Ubaissi, Ryan (Theresa) Tishon, Karly (Andy) Aiken, Kevin (Veronica) Klammer, Jeremy Dalton, Taylor Dalton, and Zach Miller. Great-Grandmother of Laith, Olive, McKenzie, Abigail, Harper, Aiden, Ryan, Ava, and Kenny.
Irene "Renee" was born in Homestead where she attended St. Ann's and graduated from Munhall High School.
She worked for Jones and Kapp Opticians and upon husband Tom's retirement the pair traveled as much as possible. Renee's favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family and travel to visit them in California, Connecticut, and Florida. They even found time to be enthusiastic Square and Round Dancers. She was an avid reader, baker, walker and liked her slot machines.
