Amd then after he is brought back, he will rhen be able to live the real life, an endless life, that Jehovah God has promised us in the Bible book of Psalm 37:29 which says: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring some real comfort in the future when all pf you will be able to wrap your arms around him in Jehoah Gods new world. Howie and Jackie have been our neighbors since 1983 when we purchased the house next to theirs. Howie was always friendly guy and always willing to do whatever he could to help others. He seemed to be a man of many interests and many talents. I have never seen him lose his temper, talk out of turn, or misbehave in all the years we have known him. What a great guy. God will have good company. Enjoy Heaven, Howie. You will be missed in the neighborhood. Our sincere sympathies go out to his wife Jackie, to Michael and Renee, and to PopPop's favorite two grandchildren. With love and in Christian love, Ed and Bea Kuchta.
Coach Crawford took over the TJ wrestling team in its second year of existence. It was November of 1965. He guided us through our first true varsity season against upgraded competition, and we had our first sectional finalists that year.
Coaching is truly a labor of love, and it had to be. We had injuries that sent us to wait at the NorthHills hospital, guys that misbehaved, buses that got hung up at 10pm on hairpin turns in Elizabeth township, and near brawls when the ref called a slam against Denny Peterson's opponent and we won the match against Beth Center. Coach Crawford was upbeat through everything, and got after us when we deserved it. And he was truly happy for us whenever we had success. The team got better every year.
It's a testament to his character and love for his students and the sport that he continued to work in and around it his entire life. He took time to come to the services for my father and mother several years ago, and I really appreciated it, and enjoyed talking to him immensely.
My condolences to Jackie and Michael

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Crawford family and friends. I had the pleasure to serve with Mr. Crawford on the WPIAL Steering Committee and have the utmost respect for his commitment to the Thomas Jefferson School District and the wrestling community. He was always a gentleman who represented WPIAL wrestling with dignity and integrity. He will be greatly missed!
With much respect and sympathy,
