Howard Wayne Geyer's Obituary
On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, Howard Wayne Geyer passed away at the age of 80. He
was a resident of Baptist Homes nursing Center at the time of his death. Howard was born
December 27, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Howard had a passion for sports. In particular, he loved watching the Steelers, Pirates and
Penquins play. He was known for his love of family, kind spirit and infectious smile. If you knew
Howard, you know he was a genuinely, good guy.
Howard grew up and lived in Pittsburgh until age 39. He then resided in Winter Park, Florida for
about 25 years and then returned to Pittsburgh for his remaining years. He worked at Goodwill
Industries for about 35 years. Howard enjoyed his work and took pride in helping others.
Howard was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, his stepmother, Lydia, his father,
Howard A., and his sister, Janet Sichelstiel. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Robbins, and his
brother, Don, and Don’s wife, Sue. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service next year, which date and place will be determined by
Howard’s family.
