Herbert J. 'Herb' Zehnder's Obituary
Herbert J. Zehnder, age 82, of Finleyville, passed away on November 13, 2025.
Herb built a successful career as a financial advisor. A true market enthusiast, he always kept a pulse on the financial world, sharing his insights and wisdom with those around him. His keen understanding of finance was matched only by his passion for sports, particularly his unwavering support for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers. He could proudly say he witnessed Roberto Clemente's historic 3,000th hit.
Beyond the financial world, Herb cherished spending time at the beach and meticulously planning family vacations. A history buff, he delighted in visiting historical landmarks, sharing his knowledge and stories with his family. He was actively involved in his children's sports, whether that was coaching basketball and track or being on the sidelines in his business suit at track meets and tennis matches.
Herb is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara Zehnder; children Amy (David) Gruska and Justin Zehnder; grandchildren Jeffrey and Lindsay Gruska; niece Julie (Brett) Yann; special cousin Carol (Raymond) Coulter; as well as many other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Elizabeth Zehnder and his brother Robert (Connie) Zehnder.
