Rossana Stettler
I’ll always treasure how he’d send me home with bags of his baked goods. One Thanksgiving, he included a pumpkin pie, and I told him I’d never liked pumpkin pie. I tried it anyway — and ended up eating that entire pie for breakfast, lunch, and dinner until it was gone. He’s the reason I fell in love with pumpkin pie, and I’ll think of him every time I have a slice.
I also remember when he helped me decorate my daughter’s princess castle birthday cake, adding the finishing touches that made it look very professional. And the nights we stayed up playing cards until 2 a.m. are memories I’ll hold onto forever.
Mr. Weiss was endlessly kind and generous, and the world is better for having had him in it. He will be deeply missed.
