Henry A. Brethold's Obituary
Henry A. Brethold, age 80, of South Park, formerly of Munhall, passed away suddenly on August 3, 2021.
Loving husband of 49 years to Cathy Brady Brethold; cherished father to Megan (Tom) Corella and Sara Brethold. Treasured Poppy to Anna and Sofia and grand dog Ernie; brother of the late Larry (Maryann) Brethold; son of the late Henry and Rene Brethold. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and cousins. Henry had a long successful career in the grocery business, working at A&P, William R. Kelly Inc., and finally retiring from Kellogg's/Keebler.
To know Henry was to love him immensely. Kind, gentle, and loving to anyone he met, even if it was just a friendly wave as you drove down the street while he puttered around in the driveway. Happy to make the best egg cheese bagels or waffles for breakfast when anyone asked, he was always willing to help in any way he could for friends and family. Car rides will be quiet now without the singing, whistling, and sign reading his family enjoyed so much. He will be missed beyond words.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Chapel Service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, 10:00 am, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236.
