Helen L. Schavone's Obituary
84, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, at Good Samaritan Hospice. Formerly of Whitehall PA, she and her husband, Jack, moved to Butler in 2000. Helen was a sweet, gracious woman, a fabulous wife, an amazing mother and a good and considerate friend to all who knew her. Her ability as a tole painter kept her busy for many years. She was well known for her talent and artistry in adorning wedding invitations with ribbon and flowers according to the couples' wishes. Her work can still be found in many homes in the Pgh area. Sincere thanks must be given to ALL who helped her on her final journey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John "Jack," and her son, Mark. Still around to enjoy her legacy is her daughter, Beth (Don) Weaver, and nieces and nephews. Services are private. Contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
