Helen Julia Momich, 95, of South Park, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 26, 2017. Devoted wife of 59 years to Adam Momich; mother of Joyce, Mame, and Bob Momich; grandmother of Allison Momich Welder; great grandmother of Lillian Welder. She is preceded in death by her husband, Adam Momich; parents Louis and Mildred Belajack; legal guardian Yelena Paripovich; and siblings Ruben, Adam, Daniel, and Sara Belajack. Helen enjoyed traveling the world with her daughter, Joyce (having visited 6 continents), cooking, spending time with her family, and embracing her Southwest upbringing by collecting native Indian memorabilia, and making frequent trips to New Mexico. During World War II, she had multiple jobs, including a ship building welder, streetcar operator, and gas station attendant. In her youth, she could be seen riding through the desert on her horse and matching cars on her horse down historic Route 66. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
