Heather A. Shiff's Obituary
A much-loved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, Heather Shiff, 61, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at her home April 25, 2026.
In a world where everyone is raggedly overscheduled and needlessly anxious, Heather never stressed or worried or fussed over anything unless it was sautéed in butter. She will always remind us to keep life simple and enjoy it. And you knew just how she liked her small delights because she would tell you. A sandwich without all the sauce and peppers. Wearing slippers under her desk at work. A clean garage she could park her car in.
She never missed family gatherings and when she became a grandma, she nearly ran into the street to proclaim it. Heather wanted you to know her opinion on most everything, including her faith in God. She was often loud, but more importantly, she was always loving. Heather had a zest for life. She was quick with a smile and prodigious in praise and positive expressions. She loved her children, husband Michael (pre-deceased) and she loved her extended family. Heather was a good sister who will be missed deeply. And if it weren't for God's timing, you'd have to say she left too soon.
She lives on through her kids, Nigel, Ian, Sloan, and Coral, her granddaughter Solaris, brothers Blaine, and Brad, in-laws Mitzi and Bill Allen, and too many loving nieces and nephews to list. Heather is preceded in death by her husband Michael, and parents Nancy and Theodore (Ted).
Please join in celebrating Heather's life at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home: Visitation on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. and memorial service on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m.
