Glenn M. Painter's Obituary
Glenn M. Painter passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024, in McMurray, PA. He was born on September 8, 1936, in Paintertown, PA to the late Harry and Mary Painter.
Glenn was the cherished husband of the late Margaret (Peggy) Painter, from 1956 until her passing in 1981, and then found love again with the late Rosella Painter from 1982 until her passing in 2009. He is survived by his son Darrell (Carol "Sue") Painter of South Park; grandchildren Heather and Daniel; sister Rita Smith; step-son Aric (Marla) Caplan; and his dear friend Lenore Meszaros. Glenn is predeceased by his parents and brothers Charles and Harry Painter.
He earned an Associate Degree from Duff's School of Business, which laid the foundation for a successful career as an accountant at Mesta Machine and LB Foster, where he retired. A man of many interests, Glenn enjoyed golf, dancing, bowling, and never missed an opportunity to share a good joke. His loving pets, especially his beagle Sweetie and dachshund Chi Chi, held a special place in his heart.
Glenn was a kind, caring, generous man with a great sense of humor. He was incredibly thoughtful, always being there for family and friends, whether it was cheering them on at a sporting event or performance, making sure they had a ride home, or sending thoughtful cards and letters every chance he got. His warmth and humor will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in the memories of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
