Glenn is the beloved husband of 65 years to Martha Louise Marcin; the loving father of Sherri Lee (Jeffery W.) Smith, Glenn Richard Dugan, Jr. (Annette Guizar) , and Kimberly Ann Dugan; the grandfather of Joseph Dugan Travis (Amy), Lauralee Pierce (Andrew), Ricardo Jesse Dugan (Brittany), Anthony Lewis Dugan (Megan), James Joseph Dugan, Kylah Marie Dugan and the great grandfather of 7. He also leaves his brother, William Joseph Grasser and half-siblings, Thomas, Verna and Kathleen Dugan.
Glenn was preceded in death by his son Jeffery William Dugan on 11/20/2025, his grandson, Matthew Sumter Smith and brother, Raymond William Dugan.
Glenn was raised in Bethel Park where he attended local schools, graduating from Bethel Park High School in 1960. He married the love of his life, Martha, on September 10, 1960, and just three days later he enlisted in the US Navy serving until 1990, when he retired as a Command Master Chief of Electronic Technicians. During his time in the service, Glenn had the opportunity to see the world and was stationed throughout his career in many places including Norfolk, VA, Panama Canal Zone, Fort Lauderdale and Key West, FL, Charleston, SC, and Guantanamo, Cuba, Bremerton, WA and El Centro and San Diego, CA. He taught ET School at NTC Great Lakes from 1970 - 1974.
Following his retirement from the US Navy, he kept himself busy driving school buses for Keystone Oaks School District. Throughout the early 2000's, he served as a food delivery driver for both Mama's Kitchen and Jewish Family Services. Glenn also served for 15 years with the California Department of Corrections between Calipatria and Donovan State Prisons.
Through these achievements in his career, Glenn provided an excellent example of hard work and serving others. During his time in the US Navy, he worked a second job with a custodial company and often took his children along to spend time with them. During these treasured moments his four children witnessed dedication and a true example of strong work ethic.
In his free time, Glenn stayed true to his passion for electronics as he enjoyed repairing old radios and televisions sets. Despite constant duty-station changes in his earlier years, he remained faithful to his home teams: The Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He enjoyed attending Pirates games in San Diego in his final years. He was a very competitive Scrabble player and coveted the triple word score boxes. He would chastise his opponents for "wasting" them because he always had a high-score plan for them.
Glenn will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. A selfless and caring soul, he will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Services and burial have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and will be held privately.
