Geraldine A. McDonough's Obituary
Geraldine A. McDonough was born in Johnstown on September 9th, 1926. She passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2020 in Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard S. Knight in 1972, and her husband James McDonough in 2002. Also preceded in death by her parents William Malzi and Myrtle (Motter) Malzi of Bon Air in Cambria county PA, and her brothers Leo Malzi and William J. Malzi. She is survived by her children Deborah (Knight) Daugherty and husband Roy of South Fayette Township, Richard Knight and his wife Patty of Monongahela PA, and David Knight of Monongahela PA. Her Brother Jim Malzi and wife Gerry of Bon Air Cambria county PA. Her grandchildren; Bryan and Stacy Carr of Cecil Township PA, Donna Carr and Beth Schwindt of South Park PA, Kenneth and Rose Knight of Chicago IL, Kristopher and Tiffany Knight of Ellwood City, David and Ashley Knight of Monongahela PA, and Kimberly Knight of Las Vegas NV. Her great grandchildren; Nicholas Carr, Ty Knight, David Knight, Logan Knight, and Rhiannon Knight.
Geraldine worked and retired from a career as a Reservationist with United Airlines. After her retirement, she decided to become a travel agent which she took great pleasure in. She loved to travel and took her children and grandchildren all over the world. Geraldine frequented many casinos and enjoyed playing slot machines. She also loved the companionship of her dogs.
