Geraldine C. Hawk's Obituary
Geraldine C. Hawk, age 88, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Geraldine worked as an administrative assistant for many years, sharing her talents at notable institutions such as Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, US Steel Irvin Works, and Mellon Bank. She was known for her strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to her colleagues and family.
Geraldine was passionate about many things in life, including cooking, baking, and gardening. She found joy in creating delicious meals for her loved ones and tended to her garden with care. In her spare time, she enjoyed participating in her Card Club and Bowling League, where she built lasting friendships. Her deep love for Pittsburgh sports, especially the Pirates and Steelers, was well-known among her family and friends, as she cheered for her teams with unwavering enthusiasm. She cherished every moment she spent with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Geraldine is survived by her children Stephen (Susan Wassick) Hawk, Robert (Deborah) Hawk, Kathleen (Ronald) Hawk Parkinson, and Jennifer J. Terzich; grandchildren Daniel (Amy) Parkinson, Christie (Colby) Stanley, Tyler (Becca) Hawk, Luke (Cat) Hawk, and Jocelyn Hawk; great-grandson Easton Hawk.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Hawk, Jr., parents John and Mary Casturo, and sisters Marie and Janet Casturo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 28 at 10:00 am at Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A'Becket worship site, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. Burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
