Gerald Butler's Obituary
Gerald Butler, age 77, of Pittsburgh, peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2020.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Cridge) Butler; two sons, Michael (Stefany) Butler and Craig Butler; two daughters, Ashley (Tom) Schuetz and Alicia (Guy) Marasco; six grandchildren, Danielle Marasco, Christian Marasco, Gabrielle Butler, Savannah Butler, Vanessa Schuetz, Genevieve Schuetz; brother, Francis Butler; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Catherine Butler; two sisters, Irene Zanolli and Patricia Reitz; and two brothers, Richard and John Butler.
Gerald was proudly employed as a meat cutter in Giant Eagle for many years, where he made many lifelong connections. He also enjoyed golfing at South Park Golf Course, being involved at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, listening to oldies music, and tinkering in the garage. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. Due to the current health restrictions, only 10 people will be allowed in the Funeral Home at one time. Please be prepared to wait outside. A Blessing Service will be held privately for immediate family only.
